The Enigma climbing shoe from Saltic is a sleek black design bringing together form and function.

Crosswise stabilisation of the toe box and an asymmetrically wrapped instep eliminates free space around your foot allowing for maximum power and accuracy. Saltic’s patented No Free Air ‘NFA’ system drives sensitivity in the toes for optimal precision and grip on any terrain. The Enigma model retains a moderately downturned profile for increased climbing performance. 

Unisex climbing shoe covering UK sizes 4 to 11. Female model wear a UK size 5, male model wears a UK size 10.

Great pair of shoes, fantastic price

I've had these shoes for about 2 weeks and so far I am loving them. They're great quality and look pretty cool, I hadn't heard of saltic before but was really impressed when they arrived. The shoe itself is moderately agressive (more so than my previous shoes) but seems perfect for an all-around indoor and outdoor climbing shoes. The price compared to similar shoes on the market is unbeatable, which is why I thought it was worth the risk on a brand I didn't recognize. Delivery was also efficient.

The size guide below can be used to help you choose the right size of shoe for your foot. The Enigma has a semi-aggressive downturn and therefore may not feel as comfortable depending on your level of experience in climbing. These size recommendations are for climbing shoes worn without socks.

Advanced

Fitting tip: Before trying on your shoes, leave them in a warm room for about an hour. This will help the rubber to warm up and become softer and more supple, allowing a more realistic fit. Cold shoes are more stiff and harder to put on.

Fitting tip: Fold the heel of the shoe down as you put it on. Once your foot is as far in as possible, pull on the heel tabs to slide your heel into the shoe. Pull up on the tongue tab to adjust your foot further into the shoe. Your toes should be touching the end and slightly curled (depending on the fit).
